Tereza and Giardino is on view here from 23 May to 1 June 2025.
At the Křehký Mikulov festival, from 23 May to 1 June 2025, I am exhibiting a selection of large-format watercolours and smaller sketches from the Tereza and Giardino series. This cycle originally came into being in 2024 for the exhibition of the same name at GASK and marked my return to the scene after a longer pause.
From January to September 2024, I worked in time-lapse form on works that are a parallel to my inner landscape. For the Křehký festival, which takes place at Mikulov Castle and in the place I come from, I chose a combination of selected large and smaller formats and complemented them with a limited edition of graphic sheets created directly for Mikulov, featuring the motif of the Sala Terrena.
The spaces of Mikulov Castle are a personal memory for me. Both of my parents were employees of the local museum; my mother, Dobromila Brichtová, later became its director. She was present at the founding of the Mikulov art symposium “dílna,” which also takes place here. We exhibited here with the studio, I took part in the symposium, and I stood at the birth of the friendship between Mikulov Castle and the Křehký brand. With joy and humility, I am exhibiting here again and continuing on my path.
